Custom Marble Church Altars & Pulpits

The Heart of Your Sanctuary. Carved in Stone.

The altar is not just furniture. It is the center of the Mass.

If you are building a new church or renovating an old sanctuary, you need a church altar that commands respect.
At Yun Sculpture, we specialize in catholic church altars for sale. We do not use wood or fake stone. We use solid, natural marble.

Whether you need a massive marble altar for a cathedral or a simple church altar table for a chapel, we carve it by hand. We create matching sets: Altar, Ambo, and Tabernacle stand.

Hand-Carved Marble Altars

A church altar table must be strong. It must last for 100 years.
We select the best marble blocks—pure white, cream, or red veins.

Custom DesignWe can carve The Last Supper, the Lamb of God, or simple crosses on the front.Ensure a cohesive design for your church renovation by matching the altar with a marble baptismal font.
Liturgical StandardsWe understand the rules. We make sure the height and width are correct for the liturgy.
One PieceFor smaller altars, we can carve from a single block. For large ones, we build a strong internal structure covered in thick marble slabs.

Frequently Asked Questions

A: Small altars can be one piece. However, most large marble church altars are carved in sections (Top Slab/Mensa, Columns, and Base) to make shipping and carrying into the church building possible. We engineer them to fit together seamlessly.

A: Liturgically, the Ambo is the place where the Scriptures are read. The Pulpit was traditionally used for preaching. Today, we design marble ambos that are dignified and match the altar, often serving both functions.

A: Yes. According to liturgical norms, the mensa (top of the altar) should be a single, unbroken slab of natural stone. We ensure we select a high-quality block without cracks for this sacred purpose.

A: Yes. We often create a “Throne” or a pedestal behind the altar to hold the Tabernacle, ensuring it matches the style and stone color of the main altar.

A: Yes. Following Catholic tradition, we can carve a sepulchrum (cavity) into the mensa (top slab) or the base of the altar to house the relics of Saints. Please specify the dimensions of your reliquary box.
