A: Marble Busts are hand-carved from white stone. They look classical, pure, and elegant, perfect for indoor libraries. Bronze Busts are cast from metal. They show more texture (wrinkles, hair) and have a historic, warm feel. Both are museum-quality.
Q3: How much does a custom life-size bust cost?
A: A life-size bust (head and shoulders) typically ranges from $2,000 to $6,000 depending on the material (bronze or marble) and the complexity of the carving. Contact us for a factory-direct quote.
Q5: How long does it take to make one?
A: For in-stock famous busts (like Beethoven), we can ship immediately. For custom portrait statues, it takes about 30-45 days to sculpt the clay model, cast/carve, and finish the piece.
Q7: What is the standard size for a bust?
A: A “Life-Size” bust is usually about 60cm to 75cm (24-30 inches) high, including the small base. We can also create “Heroic Scale” (1.5x life size) for large halls or outdoor monuments.
Q2: Do your busts come with a pedestal base?
A: Most bust sculptures come with a small attached base (shoulder or chest cut). However, to display them at eye level, we highly recommend purchasing a separate marble column or pedestal. This elevates the art and makes it commanding.
Q4: Can these busts be placed outdoors?
A: Yes. Both natural marble and bronze are weather-resistant. They can be placed in gardens, cemeteries, or university campuses. We do not use plaster or resin, which would dissolve in the rain.
Q6: How do you ship a heavy stone bust safely?
A: We wrap the bust in thick soft foam and place it in a sturdy wooden crate. The crate is built to prevent movement. We ship via air or ocean freight, fully insured.
Q8: Can I order a bust of a fictional character?
A: Yes. We can sculpt characters from movies, books, or games. Just provide us with detailed reference photos from different angles.
