Greek & Roman Marble Columns: Doric, Ionic & Corinthian Styles

Architects love the classics. We follow the strict rules of the “Classical Orders.”
Which style fits your building?

White marble Doric columns facade simple strong style

Doric Columns (The Strong Style)

Simple and substantial. Doric columns feature restrained capitals and strong proportions, making them suitable for entrances, porticos, government-style architecture and classical villas.
Ionic marble columns with scroll capital for home entrance

Ionic Columns (The Elegant Style)

Ionic columns are recognized by their scroll-shaped volute capitals and refined proportions. They work well for villa entrances, interior halls, terraces and elegant classical façades.

Corinthian Columns (The Luxury Style)

Corinthian columns feature richly carved acanthus-leaf capitals and are the most decorative of the three classical orders. They are commonly selected for luxury villas, hotels, grand entrances and formal architectural projects.

Solid vs. Hollow (Construction Types)

How do we build them? We offer two types.
Solid natural marble columns with carved capitals for classical architectural design Hand-carved solid marble architectural columns with classical stone details
Solid Marble Columns

Carved from solid natural stone or fabricated in stone sections depending on the required dimensions.
Suitable for architectural and decorative applications.
If the column is intended to carry structural loads, the final dimensions, stone specification and installation method must be reviewed and approved by the project architect or structural engineer.

Hollow stone column cladding split in half for wrapping pole Hollow stone column cladding split in half for wrapping pole
Split / Hollow Stone Column Cladding

For projects that already have structural steel or concrete columns,

we can fabricate split stone column sections to wrap around the existing support.

This preserves the appearance of a full stone column while leaving the building

structure independent.

Where to Use Stone Pillars?

Beige stone columns for outdoor gazebo and porch
Exterior (Outdoor)
Upgrade your home with stone columns for sale.
Use them for the front porch, the balcony, or a garden gazebo.

Natural marble, limestone and granite can be used for exterior columns when the stone type, detailing and installation method are selected for the local climate and project conditions.
Polished white marble pillars in luxury hotel lobby
Interior (Indoor)
Use marble pillars in your lobby, hallway, or bathroom.
Polished marble feels smooth and cold. It reflects light. Polished marble columns create a strong visual focal point in hotel lobbies, halls, staircases, entrances and luxury interiors.

Extend the classical architecture to your entrance with a matching limestone door surround or marble archway.
