Hand-Carved Marble Horse Statues | White Stone Horse Sculptures
There is nothing like natural stone.
A bronze horse is cast from a mold, but a marble horse statue is carved by hand. Every strike of the hammer makes it unique.
At Yun Sculpture, we do not use “stone powder” or glue. We use natural marble. We start with one big block of stone, and our master artists carve the horse out of it.
If you are looking for a classic white horse statue for your garden, driveway, or estate, you are in the right place. We create museum-quality stone horse sculptures that stay beautiful for hundreds of years.

One Block. One Artist. 100% Hand Carved.

How do we make a marble horse sculpture? We subtract.
Bronze is “adding” material. Stone is “taking away” material. It is very difficult. If the artist makes one mistake, the stone is ruined.
That is why you need experienced masters.
Our artists have carved stone for over 20 years. They know how to make the mane look soft like hair, even though it is hard stone. They know how to polish the muscle to make it shine.
We typically use Hunan White Marble or Fangshan White Marble (similar to Italian Carrara). This gives you that stunning, pure white horse statue look that defines European luxury.

Classic Greek & Roman Style
Marble is the soul of Western art. When people think of a marble horse, they think of Rome and Greece.
We specialize in Greek horse statue and roman horse statue styles.

The Look
These horses are usually strong, with thick, curly manes and calm expressions.

The Use
They are perfect for English gardens, French chateaus, or grand hotel entrances.

The Pose
Usually standing or walking (Trotting). Note: Marble is heavy. We do not recommend ‘rearing’ poses for stone because the thin legs cannot safely support the weight. Our rearing horse statue meaning & safety guide explains the engineering behind each pose — and why rearing horses require bronze with an internal steel skeleton. If you love the rearing look, check our Bronze Horse Statues page.

White stone creates a classic European look. Many clients also choose marble lion sculptures to guard their driveway.
Asian Styles & Tang Dynasty Replicas
Marble is also perfect for Eastern art. We can carve the famous Tang Dynasty horse.

Tang Horse Statue
This style is famous for being round and strong. The Tang horse is often shown standing firmly. It represents power and wealth in Chinese culture.

Chinese Horse Statue
We can carve traditional Chinese horse statues for temples or Feng Shui layouts. Our horse statue Feng Shui guide explains which direction the horse should face, how many horses to display for wealth, and which rooms to avoid — rules that apply to marble horses just as they do to bronze.
Why Choose Marble Over Concrete?
You will see many cheap concrete horse statues or cement horse statues online.
They are cheap for a reason.
They are cheap for a reason.
It Looks “Fake”
Cement is poured into a mold. It has bubbles and seams. It looks dead.
It Fades
The color is painted on. It will peel off.
It Cracks
Concrete holds water. In winter, the water freezes and expands. Your concrete horse statue will crack in a few years.

The Beauty of Marble
A marble horse statue is natural stone. It is dense. It does not fear the rain or snow. It sparkles in the sun. It is an investment, not a disposable decoration.
Also, do not buy ceramic or porcelain for outdoors. They are too fragile. Stick to natural stone.
Special Materials: Not Just White
While the white horse statue is our best seller, we offer other colors of natural stone.

Jade Horse Statue (Green Marble)
Real jade is too small and expensive for a big statue. We use “Dandong Green” marble. It looks exactly like a jade horse statue but is strong enough for a garden.

Sunset Red Marble
A beautiful pink/red natural stone.

Black Granite
For a modern, sharp look.
Indoor & Garden Decor: Heads & Busts
You don’t always need a whole horse.

Add a touch of classical elegance with our white horse head statues.
Hand-carved from a single block of natural White Marble.
These are popular as garden ornaments or driveway entrance markers (Gate Post Finials). Placing a horse head statue decor piece in your foyer or living room instantly adds a museum feeling to your home.

A Pair for Your Driveway
Most of our clients buy marble horse statues in pairs (two horses).
Why? Because of symmetry.
Imagine two majestic white horse statues standing on either side of your front gate. One looks left, one looks right. It creates a grand entrance.
We select stones from the same quarry to match the color perfectly.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a hand-carved marble horse statue cost?
Prices vary based on the stone color and carving complexity. Since every marble horse sculpture is hand-carved from a solid block of stone (not poured into a mold), it is a premium investment. Contact us for a direct factory quote.
Can you carve a rearing horse (standing on back legs) in marble?
We recommend a standing or walking pose for stone. Marble is heavy and brittle; a rearing horse statue requires thin legs to support tons of weight, which is risky in stone. For dynamic action poses, we suggest choosing our Bronze collection.
How do I clean and maintain a white marble horse?
Use clean water and a soft sponge. Important: Never use acidic cleaners (like lemon or vinegar) as they damage the stone surface. For tough stains on your garden horse sculpture, use a pH-neutral stone soap.
Can you carve a replica of a famous museum horse?
Yes. Our master carvers can replicate famous designs like the Tang Dynasty Horse or classic Roman steeds. Send us a photo, and we will carve it.
Can I leave my stone horse statue outside in winter?
Yes, natural marble is frost-resistant and durable. Unlike concrete, which cracks in freezing cycles, a solid stone horse statue can withstand snow and ice. We recommend covering it during extreme blizzards to keep the polish fresh.
Is it real natural marble or cast stone (concrete)?
We use 100% natural stone mined from the earth. We strictly refuse to use “cast stone” or “bonded marble” (glue and dust). Our white marble horse statues have natural crystal structures that sparkle in the sun.
What colors of stone are available?
While White Marble (like Hunan White or Fangshan) is the classic choice, we also carve horses in Sunset Red Marble, Beige Limestone, and Black Granite for a modern look.
How do you ship such a heavy stone sculpture?
We build a customized, 3cm-thick wooden crate for each horse. The inside is packed with shock-proof foam. We guarantee your marble equestrian statue arrives safely at your door.
