Q1: Is Corten steel safe for plants?
A: Yes. It is an organic material and does not leach harmful chemicals like some plastics. Corten steel planters are widely used in vegetable gardens and commercial landscapes.
Q3: Do the planters have drainage holes?
A: Yes. Proper drainage is essential. We pre-drill drainage holes in all our metal garden planters. We can also add feet/risers to lift the pot off the ground for better water flow.
Q5: How do I install Corten Garden Screens?
A: Our privacy screens usually come with side posts or a bottom frame. You can bolt them into concrete or bury the legs in the ground. They are perfect for hiding unsightly views or creating privacy from neighbors.
Q7: Will the rust stain my patio tiles?
A: To prevent staining on expensive tiles, we can add a tray underneath the planter or apply a sealer to the bottom edges. Raising the planter on feet also helps prevent direct contact stains.
Q2: Does the metal get too hot for plant roots?
A: In very hot climates, metal can heat up. However, we can install an internal insulation layer (styrofoam lining) upon request to protect delicate root systems from heat and cold.
Q4: Can you make custom sizes for a long wall?
A: Yes. We are a factory. We can weld extra-long planter boxes (e.g., 2 meters or 5 meters long) to define a patio edge or create a barrier for a restaurant.
Q6: Can I choose my own pattern for the screen?
A: Yes. We use CNC laser cutting. You can choose from our catalog of patterns (bamboo, leaves, geometric) or send us your own CAD design/logo for a custom metal privacy panel.
Q8: Are the planters heavy?
A: They are heavy enough to be stable and not blow over, but lighter than concrete. Once filled with soil, they become permanent fixtures.
