Fantasy Garden Statues: Build Your Legend

A garden should tell a story.
Our mythical creature statues are not just decorations. They are guardians.
Imagine a large outdoor dragon sitting by your entrance. It looks powerful.
Or imagine a fantasy garden statue like a Unicorn or Pegasus standing under a tree. It makes the place feel magical.
We pay attention to the scales, the wings, and the claws. We make them look alive.

Why Mythical Sculptures Are the Hardest to Build
Real animals have rules. A horse has four legs. A deer has two antlers. But a dragon? A griffin? They do not exist. There are no photos to copy.
This is what makes mythical creature sculptures the most challenging work in our factory
Our artists must solve problems that realistic animal sculptors never face. A dragon’s wings must look powerful enough to fly, but the bronze must be thick enough to support their own weight. A mermaid’s tail must curve naturally, but the internal steel skeleton must keep it from bending over decades.
We start every fantasy project with a detailed 3D ZBrush rendering. This is especially important for mythical creatures because the client often has a very specific image in their mind — from a movie, a video game, or a family crest. The 3D model lets you rotate the creature, check every angle, and approve the design before we touch any clay.
Once the 3D model is approved, we build a 1:1 clay sculpture. This is where the magic happens. Our sculptors add the fine details that software cannot capture — the texture of dragon scales, the feathers where an eagle body meets a lion body on a griffin, or the way a unicorn’s mane flows in the wind.
Only after you approve the clay model do we begin casting or carving.
Marine Life Sculptures & Water Fountains

Water needs art.
If you have a pool, a pond, or a fountain project, you need our ocean animal statues.
We specialize in water fountain statues.
Our Dolphins and Whales are designed to work with water. We install copper pipes inside so they can spray water.
Whether it is a bronze sea life sculpture for a private villa or a giant shark for a public aquarium, we deliver museum quality.

Engineering Water Into the Sculpture
Most factories sell you a dolphin statue. We sell you a dolphin that spits water.
This is a critical difference. A marine sculpture designed for a fountain must be engineered during the casting process, not after. We embed piping inside the sculpture during the casting process — before the bronze is poured, not after. This means the water channel becomes part of the sculpture itself — invisible from the outside, but fully functional.
Here is what we engineer for every marine fountain sculpture:
Water flow path. We calculate the pipe diameter based on the desired spray height and pump pressure. A dolphin nose needs a narrow nozzle for a tall, thin jet. A whale’s blowhole needs a wider opening for a misty spray effect.
Drainage. Water must not pool inside the sculpture. We design internal slopes so that all water drains out completely. Standing water trapped inside bronze causes corrosion from the inside out — the one place where bronze can fail.
Pump connection. We provide a threaded brass fitting at the base of the sculpture so your plumber can connect it directly to a submersible pump. No drilling. No aftermarket modifications.
If you already have a pool or pond and want to add a marine sculpture later, we can design the piece to work with your existing pump system. Just send us the pump model and we will match the pipe size.
Want the full technical breakdown? Our animal statue fountain guide explains how we embed hidden copper plumbing during casting, the difference between pond-based and self-contained fountain systems, and how to choose between horse, lion, and mermaid fountain themes.
Why Choose Outdoor Metal Marine Life Sculptures?
Salt water and sun destroy cheap materials. Concrete cracks. Iron rusts.
But Bronze and Stainless Steel love the water.

Bronze
It gets better with age. Near water, bronze develops a beautiful green/blue color (patina). It looks natural.

Stainless Steel
It stays shiny and modern. It reflects the blue water.
Our outdoor metal marine life sculptures are built to survive the elements. You buy them once, and they last forever.
Planning to place a sculpture beside a chlorinated or saltwater pool? Our modern pool statues guide covers why 316L stainless steel outperforms bronze near salt water, the best placement positions around your pool, and how to prevent calcium buildup on metal surfaces.

Frequently Asked Questions
What materials are best for sculptures placed in or near water?
We highly recommend Bronze or 316L Stainless Steel. Unlike stone (which can erode) or iron (which rusts), bronze and marine-grade stainless steel are virtually immune to water damage, making them perfect for fountains, pools, and seaside estates.
Can you create a custom creature from a drawing or movie?
Yes! We specialize in bringing imagination to life. Whether it’s a dragon from a video game, a griffin from a family crest, or a unique sea monster, our artists can sculpt a clay model based on your sketches or reference photos.
Can these sculptures be turned into water fountains?
Absolutely. Most of our marine and mythical animal statues (like dolphins, dragons, or mermaids) can be plumbed. We install copper piping inside the sculpture during casting so water can spray from the mouth or other features.
How large can you make these sculptures?
There is no limit. We have created monumental dragons and giant whale sculptures over 10 meters long for theme parks and public plazas. For large sizes, we engineer a heavy-duty internal steel skeleton for safety.
Can I design my own mythical creature that does not exist in mythology?
Yes. About 30% of our mythical sculpture orders are completely original designs. Clients have asked us to create creatures for private fantasy gardens, video game company lobbies, and themed restaurants. You can send us sketches, 3D renders, or even rough descriptions — our artists will develop the concept into a buildable sculpture. We provide a full 3D ZBrush preview before any physical work begins.
What is the difference between a Western dragon and a Chinese dragon sculpture?
They are completely different in anatomy and meaning. A Western dragon has wings, four legs, and a thick body — it represents power and danger. A Chinese dragon (Long) has no wings, a serpentine body, and deer-like antlers — it represents prosperity, wisdom, and imperial authority. The casting techniques are also different: Western dragons require complex wing-support engineering, while Chinese dragons require long, flowing body sections that must be welded seamlessly. We specialize in both styles.
How do you ship a giant dragon or whale sculpture?
For oversized pieces, we build a custom steel-frame crate. We handle all logistics, including ocean freight and insurance, to deliver the sculpture safely to your nearest port or directly to your project site.
Do bronze statues change color near water?
Yes, and it is beautiful. Bronze develops a natural “patina” (oxidation). Near water, it tends to turn a lovely antique green (verdigris) over time, which protects the metal and blends perfectly with the aquatic environment.
Are your mermaid and mythological statues tasteful?
Yes. We create museum-quality fine art. Our mermaid and goddess sculptures are sculpted with classical elegance, suitable for high-end private gardens and public spaces.
Do you work with landscape architects?
Yes, we frequently partner with designers to create focal points for luxury pools, ponds, and fantasy-themed gardens. We can provide CAD drawings and installation advice.
How do you prevent a bronze dolphin fountain from turning green near chlorinated pool water?
Chlorinated water accelerates the natural patina process on bronze. If you prefer to keep the original brown/gold color, we apply a marine-grade lacquer coating before delivery. This protective layer typically lasts 3-5 years before needing reapplication. Alternatively, many clients choose to let the green patina develop naturally — near water, the verdigris color actually enhances the marine theme and blends with the aquatic environment.
